SPRING PHOTO ORDER INFORMATION

Lake Forest Singers
Lake Forest
Singers is a traditional advanced choir performing a wide variety of
literature. Beginning with a two to three day summer camp, this
ensemble prepares a concert set to perform for a fall, holiday and
spring concert. During the December holiday season, Singers travel to many community venues sharing holiday joy through song. In
the spring, they attend one to two choir festivals, one of which is
combined with a spring trip in May. Additionally, students from Lake
Forest Singers are encouraged to individually audition and participate
in state wide honors choirs including the East Tennessee Middle School
Honors Chorus in November and the Tennessee Treble Honor Choir in April.
For the 2009 - 2010 school year, Lake Forest will not
have a 6th grade show choir. Instead, upcoming 6th graders are invited
to audition for Rhapsody.
This auditioned group will perform traditional choir music in the fall
and a show choir style in the spring. At the end of their 6th grade
year, these students will be greatly encouraged to audition for
Revolution or Lake Forest Singers.
Revolution is a highly
competitive show choir that serves as an ambassador for Lake Forest and
the Cleveland community. Beginning with a week long summer camp, this
ensemble prepares a 20 minute show for competition in February. During
the December holiday season, Revolution prepares a holiday show and
travels to many community venues to share the Christmas spirit through
song and dance. After February competitions, the ensemble prepares a
set of Gospel music to perform for area churches in April. They end
the year with various community performances and a spring trip where
they do a final performance competition. Revolution also participates
in Lake Forest's fall, holiday and spring concerts.
The Bruins Chorale
The Bruins Chorale is a non-auditioned beginning choir. This ensemble focuses on
music reading and performance techniques. They perform a variety of choral literature in two concerts each year, one in December and one in May.

Spring Musical
Each spring, school wide auditions are held for any Lake Forest Middle School student wishing to be in the musical. Directed by Jeremiah Pritchard and Jessie Petersen, the students rehearse after school January through April with four to six performances in March or April.
